Merit Transportation Company LLC founded in 1999, operating 100 power units, provides refrigerated and dry transportation services in the United States. Merit Transportation Company LLC announced today that they have signed a contract to utilize the decision support tool Expert FuelŪ offered by Integrated Decision Support Corporation of Richardson, Texas.
Expert FuelŪ is integrated directly into the Mcleod dispatch software, using real-time fuel price information to lower fuel costs by providing an efficient fuel purchase plan to the driver at the time of dispatch. What this does for management, without any aid from a dispatcher is to route the driver using your company's preferred route, then optimize the fuel purchase locations and quantities, all within a few seconds. Then the route and fuel solution is then sent to the driver over mobile communications system using your own defined macros.
