Midwest Specialized Transportation, founded in 1967, provides unique tailored transportation services for greater customer convenience. They Utilize Qualcomm satellite equipped tractors to deliver specialized transportation services ranging from construction equipment and cryogenic tanks to time sensitive printed materials. Midwest announced today that it has selected decision support tools from Integrated Decision Support Corporation of Richardson, Texas. Midwest Specialized Transport Inc. has signed a contract for the installation of Expert FuelŪ, and Out-of -Route Alert.
Expert FuelŪ minimizes fuel costs by providing an optimal fuel plan at the time of dispatch. Out-of-Route Alert is a module, which interfaces to Expert FuelŪ and the mobile communications system to determine if a driver is out-of-route and/or is going to be late. The system provides automatic notification via the dispatch system.
