| Using NetwiseŽ to Respond to Shipper Bids |

Integrated Decision Support Corporation announced the release NETWISEŽ version 3.0, a decision support tool used in the analysis of profitability, pricing, and network balance.
"With shippers now requesting packaged and conditional bids, carriers are having a difficult time selecting the lanes that compliment their current network and determining the dedicated opportunities within a bid. Carriers exhaust countless hours of manpower responding to a single shipper bid. We have addressed this issue by providing them with an enterprise software package that provides the carrier with the same advantages the shipper currently employs", said Dr. Rick Murphy, President of IDSC.
At the core of the product is its Network Balance module. This sophisticated optimization algorithm identifies dedicated opportunities as well as lanes that would complement the existing business. "Often a carrier has difficulty determining how to price a lane so that it appears attractive to the shipper, yet still is profitable. Utilizing the Network Balance Optimization in conjunction with the Pricing module, carriers can pinpoint this price", noted Rick Murphy. During the bid preparation process, NETWISEŽ utilizes a data correction engine that provides an intelligent search for city names and postal codes. "Often a shipper sends a bid that contains partial or misspelled data. Turning this information into a usable format requires human intervention that is very time consuming. This technology reduces the bid process time allowing companies to concentrate their efforts on winning business, not cleaning up data", noted Rick Murphy.
NETWISEŽ is integrated to the major mileage and routing packages. In the instance where the user does not currently own a routing package, IDSC provides its proprietary mileage system. The IDSC miles are on average between HHG and practical miles.
