Smith Transport Inc. an irregular route truckload motor carrier offering a complete line of fully integrated Logistics Services to Customers who demand extremely time-sensitive and seamless service offerings that are highly-tailored to meet precise requirements and standards of performance, announced today that it has selected the entire suite of truckload decision support tools from Integrated Decision Support Corporation of Richardson, Texas. Smith Transport Inc. has signed a contract for the installation of Expert Fuel®, Out-of -Route Alert, Netwise®, Netwise®400, Netwise® Yield Optimization, Match Advice®, and Swap Advice®.
Expert Fuel® minimizes fuel costs by providing an optimal fuel plan at the time of dispatch. Out-of-Route Alert is a module, which interfaces to Expert FuelÒ and the mobile communications system to determine if a driver is out-of-route and/or is going to be late. The system provides automatic notification via the dispatch system. Match Advice® optimizes the initial assignment of drivers to loads while Swap Advice® continually re-optimizes the assignment of drivers to loads; together they maximize utilization, customer service and driver satisfaction. Netwise® is the pricing and profitability yield management engine. Netwise®400 is a resident AS/400 system that utilizes the NetwiseÒ profitability data to provide access to key business intelligence without leaving the dispatch system. Netwise® Yield Optimization provides real-time guidance on the freight to accept/reject/solicit as well as appointment scheduling in order to maximize yield. A key feature is the Internet search engine esolicit®, which automatically solicits shippers via email, and searches available loads posted on the Internet.
