Star Transport, Inc. Adding Three more Integrated Decision Support Tools to its Operations
07.31.2002 Morton, IL -
Star Transport, Inc., one of the fastest growing carriers in North America, specializing in time-sensitive shipments, announced today the adoption of Match Advice®, Expert Fuel® and OOR/ETA Alert® from the decision support suite of Integrated Decision Support Corporation.

Star Transport currently utilizes Netwise ®, Integrated's yield management tool to calculate and direct profitability actions within Star's freight network. Adding Match Advice® ensures the appropriate load to power match is assigned to maximize profitability, improve driver time-at-home, reduce in-transit delays and preclude the need for excessive load relays. Expert Fuel® is designed to minimize fuel costs by providing an optimal fuel plan at the time of dispatch, while Out of Route/ETA Alert® provides "real time" notification of trucks incurring excessive out of route, reducing the costs associated with these non-revenue producing miles.

"We are very pleased about expanding our relationship with IDSC. Their suite of software products will provide us a strategic advantage that will allow us to meet our future growth targets and improve our business processes while enhancing service to our customers," said Glenn Werry, President of Star Transport.

"We are very excited about Star Transport's decision to install our suite of decision support systems," said Kevin Smith, Area Sales Manager at Integrated. "While these systems provide value individually, there are definite additional synergies which occur from being able to tightly integrate these systems together. Star Transport has been a strong proponent of utilizing decision support technologies to improve profitability and control costs. We feel that the management team at Star is committed to using decision support software for maximum effect. Additionally, I expect them to continue to provide valuable insight into the continuous product improvement we embrace."
